About The Dondena Centre

The Carlo F. Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy (Dondena) is an international centre for applied research based on an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of Population Dynamics and Health, Politics and Institutions, and Taxation and the Welfare State.

Its researchers develop and adopt innovative analytical methods to understand and evaluate complex relationships and changes over time.

The Centre’s work is organized into three units:

In 2015, Dondena also launched the Dondena Gender Initiative, which is aimed at collecting and promoting all types of research conducted at Bocconi University related to gender issues.

Given the highly interdisciplinary spirit of the Centre and the nature of its research, there are natural and desirable links between the activities conducted in the different units (as well as with the Dondena Gender Initiative).

The Centre hosts several large research projects, funded by a variety of sources. Details on these projects, as well as our Working Papers series, can be found by following the links above or on the left.

Some MSc Students may also conduct their curricular (or non-curricular) internship within the Centre. Students interested in such opportunities may direct their inquiries to Marco Bonetti.

The Dondena Centre is member of the European Consortium for Sociological Research (ECSR)
